Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university. Specifically:
IMA & OTA: Graduation in any discipline.
INA: Degree in Engineering.
AFA: Degree with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level or a Bachelor of Engineering.
Final-year students are also eligible to apply provisionally.

The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam, conducted twice a year by the UPSC, the CDS exam is the most coveted graduate level exam for candidates who wish to get selected for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and the Officers Training Academy (OTA).
